Hi! I'm Rachel.
I grew up in Las Vegas and just graduated from the University of Michigan with an English degree and a bunch of creative writing and film coursework under my belt.
As a writer, I primarily cover the arts, with an emphasis on music, and did so as a reporter and columnist at The Michigan Daily. I'm interested in the intersection between cultural coverage and current events, the ways in which the two inform each other, and how to make that relationship more accessible and compelling to the reader.
As a person, I strongly support the oxford comma, regularly attend hip-hop Vinyasa classes, and feel a lot of feelings when reading this Junot Diaz short story.
